Rawdah, a sacred area between the Prophet's house and his pulpit, which is regarded as one of the gardens of Paradise. The Constitution of Madinah was also established here, which was a pioneering document in human rights and governance. It ensured religious freedom and cooperation among the Muslim and non-Muslim tribes of the city. This constitution laid the foundation for a diverse yet united community under Islamic principles. Madinah is also the resting place of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), along with two of his closest companions, Abu Bakr and Umar ibn al-Khattab. Their graves are located within the chamber of Masjid an-Nabawi. Millions of Muslims visit Madinah each year as part of the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage to offer prayers and send peace and blessings upon the Prophet. Besides Masjid an-Nabawi, other important Islamic sites in Madinah include Mount Uhud, where the famous Battle of Uhud took place, the Quba Mosque (the first mosque built in Islam), and the Qiblatain Mosque, where the direction of prayer was changed from Jerusalem to the Kaaba. The name "Madinah" means "city" in Arabic, but in the Islamic context, it specifically refers to the city of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It holds a special place in the hearts of Muslims around the world due to its historical, religious, and spiritual importance. Before the arrival of Islam, Madinah was known as Yathrib. It was inhabited by various Arab and Jewish tribes. The city was known for its fertile land, date palms, and strategic location on ancient trade routes. When Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his companions faced severe persecution in Makkah, Allah commanded the Prophet to migrate. This migration, known as the Hijrah, took place in 622 CE and marks the beginning of the Islamic calendar. The people of Yathrib welcomed the Prophet with open arms, and the city soon became known as Madinat an-Nabi (The City of the Prophet). In Madinah, the Prophet (SAVW) established the first Islamic state based on justice, brotherhood, and equality. One of his first acts was to build the Masjid an-Nabawi (The Prophet's Mosque), which became the center of religious, political, and social life. The mosque still stands today and is the second holiest site in Islam after the Kaaba in akkah. It houses the
