I usually let my work speak for itself, but this time, I need to speak up for it. Recently, one situation with a client has led to false reviews and even people who've never ordered from me calling me a "scammer." So here's the real story. This client placed a last-minute order. She sent several different cake designs, then finally confirmed a white cake with a black ribbon and "Forever Her" written on it. That is exactly what I made and delivered. When the driver arrived, she came outside, filmed the cake and the driver, then went back inside without collecting it. He waited over 15 minutes. Delivery Policy: We allow 10 minutes wait time. After that, the driver must leave to continue other deliveries. If you miss your delivery, you're responsible for picking it up yourself. My time - and my other clients' time - matters too. She mentioned that the cake was wrong. I called her immediately to explain that it wasn't my mistake and to look for a way forward, but she hung up on me out of anger. By the time she decided she wanted the cake, the driver had already left - because we had other clients waiting for their deliveries. If you know me, you know I don't play with my time or my clients' time. If she had simply admitted she forgot to mention the ribbon color, I would've helped her fix it. But you can't force me to take responsibility for a mistake that wasn't mine. I even offered a refund out of goodwill. But after the disrespect, I withdrew it. The cake has been stored in the freezer, ready for pickup. No refund will be issued! especially not after the damage caused. I've worked too hard to build my reputation to let lies stand.
