Approximately 1 oz of vanilla beans to 8 oz alcohol is FDA requirement for single fold vanilla extract. I like making mine with double the beans (double fold) and letting it sit for a year for best flavor. Happy extracting!😊

Alcohol has to be 70 proof and everclear has to be diluted. Make sure to use the right ratios. If beans are sliced in the middle it takes faster. I always wait a minimum of 6 months.
