I JUST realized I forgot to add sweet onions to the filling 😅still so good with or without. I will attempt it again soon to redeem myself  This is one of my go-to recipes whenever I need to feed a crowd. It takes a few hours, but it’s worth every second. Mama introduced me to this years ago and it’s still one of my all-time favorites.  SO EXCITED TO COOK MORE IN THIS NEW KITCHEN!!!  For next time: smaller beef crumbles + don’t forget the onions. Also… wait until you see how much pomegranate molasses I actually put in 👀 Video coming next. ✨ RECIPE BELOW ✨ Ingredients * 2 boxes phyllo dough * 3 lb ground beef * 1.5 sweet onions * 2 eggs * ½ cup milk * Pomegranate molasses * 1 stick salted butter * Salt + pepper to taste Instructions 1. Cook onions in a pan, then add ground beef, molasses, salt + pepper. 2. Bowl 1: Whisk eggs, milk, salt + pepper (egg mixture). 3. Bowl 2: Melted butter 4. Brush melted butter on bottom of pan. 5. Crumble 1 phyllo layer then add butter between each and egg mixture every 2–3 layers. 6. Place meat mixture in the middle layers. 7. Use less butter as you layer the top half. 8. Top 2 layers topped with butter 9. Freeze 15 min → cut into squares. 10. Bake at 350°F until golden (about 40 min, check every 15) Golden, crispy, tangy, and so comforting. Perfect for gatherings.
