I literally put it in a cup with water and let it sit till it sprouted then I got vines then some leaves I change out the water every few days. I did not use soil like recommended and I keep it around other plants. I’m please with it

For all of those wondering why you didn’t get blooms.. they are Perennial aquatic plants. Perennials almost NEVER bloom in the first year. They usually take 1-3 years to get blooms.

Growing a lotus from a rhizome, also known as a tuber, ensures that it will flower in its first year. Otherwise takes 2-3 years with 6 plus hours of direct sun a day.

When you get the seeds, rinse them off and each seed, one by one, make sure it is scored so that the plant can get out. If it’s not take a sharp knife and be careful and make a small incision!🌻🌺
