Now hear me out. So you're saying they said they paid out the claim IN GOOD FAITH? Isn't that a precedence or common Practice.

bc bad faith decisions open them up to an even costlier court battle? or the inevitable future claim if they agreed that that specific type of shingle was not repairable?

After using a public adjuster a few years ago, I learned I will never file a claim without one in the future. I don’t trust the insurance companies at all.

Take a stand. Take it to court and set that precedent!

that is how legal works in business better to pay a settlement rather than fix the problem

Their lawyers are already on the payroll. However, your lawyer is probably gonna cost you at least a couple grand unless you’re somehow able to get attorney fees thrown into the settlement

are you offering a compromised settlement for the full amount of replacement cost in your example or are you having to offer a percentage

So basically they don’t want to set a precedent whereby they do the right thing, got it.

This is really good info. Well explained and makes a lot of sense. you see corporations (wm) settle lawsuits all the time. Same reason.

Makes a lot of sense. I had a situation and wondered why they would spend so much money in litigation and then ended up paying my claims and the attorney fees anyways.
