While driving is convenient, taking the Iga Railway and exploring along the line at a slower pace is also delightful. . ①–④: Near Ichibe Station on the Iga Railway, a small forest suddenly appears in the middle of the rice fields. It was once a famous spot celebrated in poems by Heian-era nobles such as Ki no Tsurayuki and Sei Shōnagon. . ⑤–⑥: Near Inadamichi Station stands a shrine believed to be the former site of Enako Shrine, later merged into Inada Shrine in 1909. Though once abandoned, local residents have continued the worship as a remote sanctuary of Inada Shrine. . ⑦–⑩: In the Nishiyama area near the border with Shiga Prefecture, beautiful terraced rice fields remain—a true landscape of old Japan.
