I'm kind of sick of people saying "it seems like it was written by AI" for any cases of poor writing. it's a very lazy critique that makes it much harder to focus on actual AI offenders

For the record, as a native Spanish speaker, the translations were not off. People are looking for anything that makes the film look worse. Breaking Bad had more unnatural dialogue than Emilia Perez.

I am not someone who normally would go to the internet to slam a movie. But Emilia Perez is so damn awful on how they deal with the topic they’re trying to cover…. I had to. I cannot believe El Mal is getting any praise 😅 but to me the movie felt like it was written by a guy who read a few headlines and really liked the show narcos
