Went to funeral in HS (so did entire school) for gf & bf classmates that died similarly and no one knew it would be open casket. My mom had to sleep with me for months. It traumatized us all 🥺

Ugh this hits home. I had to go to a friends funeral on my 13th birthday. She was killed by a train and they had an open casket for her. I'll never ever forget it. Traumatized me so bad.

the funeral director 100% tried to talk them out of open casket. the man in charge of my dads funeral talked us out of it for this exact reason. 🥺

My friends son just passed in a car accident a year ago. And they made her signs papers just to be able to hold his hand and see nothing else. Because they said it would be too traumatic. I can’t even imagine an open casket!

My dad told us a time when he was ambulance driver they had to pick up 2 local kids & their bodies were split in half. He had to hold back a parent from wanting to get to his son. Was horrible!
