I have a theory on this! I think it’s because instagram - for a while - had the comments made so they were visible when you scrolled. So you would see like one or two highlighted comments scrolling by

IG tries to drive engagement by inviting ppl you follow to see what you like or comment even if they aren’t interested in that content. Our fyps end up affecting other ppl’s so more likely to get
