I personally find that doing metta meditation followed by vipassana helps to clear my mind a lot faster than diving straight into vipassana! May help anyone else who struggles with that too

Or, hear me out, you learn insight meditation and apply it to anything whenever you wish. Once you note any sensation completely from beginning to end it dissolves, because its fundamentally made up of interdependent phenomena. You can't get angry if you note the anger, everything dissolves once you learn to see it for what it is, hunger, sleepiness... anything. The awareness is eternal, all other things are relative phenomena - this is the whole insight of meditation.

when I first discovered the breath of fire (from the book We're All Doing Time by Bo Lozoff, HIGHLY recommend) was called dragon breath. it has served me very well. I hope more ppl try these. thank u
