Apparently it smells really sweet. Grandad used to spray the orchard then come in for lunch still in his work clothes—my 5-6yo mum loved the smell so would climb in his lap & snuggle in real close!😬

When I was a kid, the city sprayed it from slow moving trucks throughout town and kids rode their bikes through the fog. My parents were mean & wouldn’t let me do it.

I remember when they used to use street fogger trucks to spray neighborhoods with DDT in the late 1960’s. My parents would seal the house and not let us play in the yard until they had hosed it down

I'm 73. When I was a kid in the 1950s my neighborhood would be fogged with DDT from trucks two or three times a week. My friends and I would ride our bikes beside the truck to stay in the fog. 😳
