Itโ€™s been a longer process gaining Rubyโ€™s trust than it normally is with young donkeys or horses. Sheโ€™s been so hesitant to trust me even after weeks of working with her. Today I was giving Jumbo cookies and noticed she was extra curious watching him eat them. So I went and sat in her stall and gave Jumbo cookies over the fence. She watched him chew and sniffed the air. It wasnโ€™t long before she was eating cookies from my hand. I may just have to use this method on other timid rescues needing a little reassurance. Thanks Jumbo!
