i work in a day nursery in the UK, and we aren’t allowed to accept sleeping children, we have to check they can be alert and awake for this exact reason, we let them go back to sleep after!

At my Center we can accept sleeping babies BUT we are required to do sleep checks every 20 minutes at minimum. If we don’t log it in our app within time our RM is notified

This is why it is important to ALWAYS check to see if the child is awake! Where I work, regardless if we are taking a child in or sending the child home.
