I would rather someone overuse names or even pronouns than use epithets 😭 like its so rare for me to notice using names too much but ill almost always notice “the blonde” or “the older woman”

I will never understand why people hates epithets so much. I can understand bad ones or if it's too repeated but they're not the end of the world. If they're used rightly and at a good pace, i think it adds to the quality of the work 🤔

i recently wrote a fic where a guy had amnesia, and was describing a stranger to the audience. a lot of "he" and you never knew if it was talking about amnesia boy or the stranger. it was hell :)
