When you say you got the CEL turned off, did you have an issue diagnosed and fixed, or just the code cleared? Do you know what code it was?

From what you said here my best guess is the idle air control valve, I'm not a mechanic but same thing happened to my last car and that fixed it

Probably a hose. I had a vintage Mercedes that did that. It was a hose

Main fuse? I had a van that would randomly shut off while driving.

Could be many of things tbh could be fuel pump, heavy, misfires, mass, airflow sensor, air, temperature sensor, spark at a whole other host of things

I’m not really a car person but mine did this a couple times then stopped turning on and it was the fuel pump. Did they check that?

Bugger I have a 2009 legacy and stalls on hard brakes although warning lights turned on .. anyone had similar problem?
