When they said there was a head puppeteer I was trying to figure out how a person could be in the neck of the horse, and thought they’d have to be really short….and then I realized. 😅

I saw wars horse in London and admit a few times I forgot it was a puppet it was that realistic on the stage setting.

Little movements people forget about are the occasional casual flick of the tail or random leg movement as they adjust/shift their weight. Horses are constantly in motion. This is so impressive!!

I saw war horse at Bristol but when the tank came on stage one the mechanical workers on it passed out and the show had to stop

I saw War Horse twice in London. after about 5 minutes you forgot about the horse being a puppet and watched him as being Joey. it was fantastic and I enjoyed every second
