@coacheugeneteo: Squat like a baby? 🤨 Mobility matters, but proportions and body shape matter more than people realise. ➕This doesn't mean deep squats aren't for you. Just find the technique that works for you! ➕ If you like it, do your mobility work. I train mobility specifically twice a week at the end of my leg workouts. ➕ A zercher, front squat or even a machine will let you squat deep instantly and strengthen those ranges. ➕ Heel elevation and a wider, toes out stance both "shorten" your femur relative to your tibia. This helps you find depth and balance in a squat. It's NOT cheating. ➕ Train hard, push your ranges and watch it improve over time. ➕ Unfortunately, no amount of "using it" is gonna hypertrophise your head ➕ Truth is, EVERYBODY can squat like an "Asian" if they make adjustments to suit them - heel lift, foot pronation, wide stance, toes out, round back etc - all of which are typical of the "Asian squat". ➕ IMO we should stop focusing on oversimplified analogies and celebrate movement optimism and variation.
