i have tried this but with watercolor-pencils, the marker becomes the water and also gives a filter type of effect. You have to be careful not mixing the colours tho haha

maybe try drawing the marker first and then drawing over it in color and pencil🥰

You need to match the deepness of the colours. At the end the washes of the coloured pencil where not opaic enough for the intensity of the markers

this is exactly how I blend when I colour or sometimes I do markers firstly and then I need the color pencils

I use heavier lines of pencil crayons and then I smudge the marker with a Kleenex to eliminate marker lines.
