Father in law died a wealthy man, saved and penny pinched. Died just 18 months after retirement, never got a chance to enjoy it. Spend it while you have your health.

Shouldn’t have to pay tax on pensions full stop. Paid tax all ur life on the money that earned you a pension then tax you again. In other words double tax

My friend took her money out of her nest pension at 67 they took £800 straight away taxed her on it and she has been paying emergency tax for a year because of it 😡

If you take 25% of the full pension pot at the age of 57 and then a drawdown at 67. What happens to the rest of your pension pot? Is it no longer invested and frozen in terms of value?

Most people die long before they use all their pension so make sure you name a beneficacy which is not covered in your will ( private pensions).
