Any position at a department CSO, clerk, records.. just don’t be one of those cops on tik tok who post themselves in their uniform/gear. It’s a job not an identity

Depends on the county and their requirements. I’m biased but I started as court security and moved to bailiff for misdemeanor court so I got a lot of base knowledge for testifying, law, and safety

Volunteer firefighter, at least in non-rural depts. And that’s not a shot at my rural brothers but I’m talking depts where you are routinely exposed to high stakes calls where people can die or get seriously hurt and you are the one that is supposed to stop that from happening. That’s the nature of LE too, and being exposed to the stress and being able to think and operate under that stress is something school and training can’t teach. Also exposes you to the bad parts of this world most don’t see.
