Definitely return it if you don’t like it! I’m surprised you didn’t see videos saying how itchy they are. I feel like every review I saw before purchasing made that super clear.

Different styles have different fits, some are smaller than others. Some are super oversized. And wool will not be super soft you have to use an undershirt depending on how sensitive your skin is!

Look into wool blocking, you can stretch it to fit oversized! Good wool will soften up over time too

So for the itchiness it is definitely a getting use to it process or an undershirt situation, but it looks like you got the color Mist and that one is undyed, so is Dark Mist and I believe one other color, the ones that have been dyed are softer due to the processing with dyeing.

I would block it. If you want it to be more over sized. I also would use wool conditioner to soften the fibers when you soak it before you block it

I feel like you have to ease into wearing 100% wool. It’s great once you’re use to it but it’s hard to adjust to!

Try a wool wash- I’m a knitter… it’s not going to transform the fibers but it will help. Eucalan is a good one and it’s a no rinse wash. So after it’s soaked just remove the excess water and lay flat

You may like the cotton ones better if your skin is too sensitive to wool. They have fun styles in the cotton too!

You can block the sweater if you need it bigger. Take to the dry cleaners once and it will soften

The wool will meld with you once you wear it for awhile and will soften - I have a few babaa sweaters and I used to live in them during the pandemic.
