the imperials are the right choice, the storm cloaks are just objectively bad, they are racist and ulfric had no reason killing his best friend to become king, it’s literally stated if he asked him to betray the imperials he would have, the whole point of the start is to make the decision harder as the imperials don’t do anything bad to you besides trying to execute at the start for a false crime, i’m pretty sure you can find notes and stuff about them preparing for a war with the thalmor

Most of (or at least a lot of) stormcloacks are veteran imperial troops and the stormcloack generals are also experienced veterans from the great war

I picked stormcloaks as a kid, and imperials as an adult. When I play now I just pick whichever for fun, the Dragonborn makes any side win.
