Missed one key difference between 4x4 and AWD; 4X4 forces the front and rear axles to spin at the same speed, no matter what. AWD allows a speed differential between the fronts and rears.

A lot of this either just flat out wrong or overgeneralized. The only difference between AWD and 4WD is that 4WD locks the front and rear axles together so they spin at the same speed.
