Do I cut wood? No.
Did I find this informative? Yes.
Was I cackling at the fact the US made the same mistake with a tree that we did a toad? Also yes.

I’m Australian, we split red gum all the time, have you tried to split iron bark? It has black bark and is super tough

Mate, I'm in Australia and I split eucalyptus wood for cooking in my fire pit. This video is such a big help. Is there a name for this type of axe? You did say it was hand made.

we Aussies only ever split around the edges because it's hard as shit. The first piece you split was a straight grain. Wait until you get a knotted piece. totally impossible to split down the middle

yep was always taught as a young fella to never set up camp under a eucalyptus tree, another benefit to it for fire wood is it keeps the mozzies away

Hi Thoren! I love your videos. Will I ever need to split eucalyptus with an axe? no. I'd recommend using a hydraulic splitter. In future videos, when showing axe profile, show us the top of the axe.
