@srourke907: Hand expressing a sour crop. This hen came in with a sour crop and we tried a few methods before deciding it needed to be hand expressed. This is not the first line of treatment against a sour crop and shouldn’t be done if you don’t know what you’re doing. I like to give them a little oil first and then massage the crop. Tilting the hen downward, I massage and apply pressure to allow it to flow out, taking breaks often to keep from choking. #hen #chicken #farmlife
