apparently, earlier artists didn't like teaching methods, which was why it took forever for someone like Loomis to teach a detailed method, which itself wasn't supposed to be followed 100%

I’d say loomis is a good start to understand seeing bodies as 3d objects, but an over dependence on it will stunt the growth of an artist (it me I’m the artist who’s growth is stunned help get me out of here I have not posted art on this app in ages out of pure shame 😭)

it’s similar to line contour drawing but you’re really just looking at the outline and the shapes of the drawing instead of if as a whole
