I’m 20 and had surgery for my slipped disc just over 8 weeks ago and it was life saving. I went back to work a week ago and it’s amazing not feeling so much pain, even in everyday activities. I was also super nervous before surgery but it’s over before you know it. You’ll be sore for the first couple of days but I was up and walking without trouble or pain in a couple of days. Worst of it was getting up and down from chairs and out of bed as it was putting a lot of pressure on the inscsion site

I totally understand how your feeling had emergency surgery in 2018 for a football sized cyst on my ovary I ended up under for 8 hours cause of complications and seeing my husband upset made me feel worse for him, I was also very scared I actually prayed. Goodluck with your surgery 🤞🏻

I had a disc replacement in my lower back and it was the best thing I ever did! They wouldn’t do surgery if it was too dangerous! You’ll be okay, stay positive!

I’ve literally just had this surgery before Christmas and it was the best thing ever. It’s not at scary as you think, the pain relief you feel after is worth more than anything! Good luck!

I have the same slipped disc and a second below it, doctors here refuse to operate on it they say after 2 1/2 years it will just go away. I’m happy to see you are getting the surgery.

Had my first surgery last month. Talk to the anesthesiologist. They were the person that put me most at ease. They had answers to everything and solutions for any scenario I could think of. A-Woo!

your eyes are defo blue glad Yvonne is back soon your lost without her . I feel you on the back pain I came off my bike on the ice the other week . I have fractured my l1 ( compound fraxrure ) my l5 has moved position it now is stilling under my l1 ( that is also fractured but is a pars defect so it's the sicky out bit at the back thst is fractured that won't ever fix ) then the discs In between l1 and l5 are either degenerated squashed flat or bulging . it's been a painful few weeks

I slipped my L4/L5 just before Xmas and lost all feeling in my legs immediately so had emergency surgery. Recovery from the op is taking a while but it was a lot better than expected. You got this 🥰
