i'm only about 5lbs from my typical *ideal weight* but anytime I go to the gym to lift the scale goes back up. I'm at a 2900 calories for maintenance and float around 1500 a day but feels like lifting keeps me hovering here and so does the midsection fat.

When your in a calorie deficit does carbs matter? I've seen some people say they don't track their carbs during a Calorie Deficit because you'll still lose weight regardless.
