why would an airplane have the very steep climb, but when you hit the appropriate altitude, you nose dive into the next airport? scared me so much that I cannot fly!!!

We had a flight once that was behind. I swear the pilot had to be a retired fighter jet pilot bc he tore into the sky so fast and nearly str8 up and banked to the left. It was thrilling and we made it earlier than the scheduled time. 😂

Steepest climb out I’ve experienced was out of SNA. Thankfully, the pilot explained what was going to happen before we took off or I would’ve been wondering why we were going up so quickly
