@abcnews: U.S. businesses are bracing to take a hit from the tariffs Pres. Trump imposed on imports from Canada, Mexico and China. Americans could feel the first impact at the grocery store and at the gas pump. Elizabeth Schulze has more. #news #tariffs #donaldtrump #politics #abcnews
Most comments over here saying we need to make our own product or produce! Okay and who going to work Americans? low pay and long hours? I am wondering if those commenting are going to apply !?🫠

You'll feel it immediately. As soon as there are markups, the price goes up on everything. Companies won't wait to sell through old product to increase prices.

Short term pain for long term success, we need things made in America. It’ll take a while but maybe my grandkids one day in a long long time will have a great place to live maybe

It’s not only going to be the things that they put the tariffs on, it’s gonna be everything. Because all the companies are gonna try to get rich from this.

Don’t people realize that most EVERYTHING is going to be affected? Just because it’s not made foreign DOES NOT mean that some American business isn’t sourcing their ingredients/product outside-

It's not just the important education goods, let's not forget we're missing a huge chunk of our field workers that plant, grow, tend to and harvest our food!

It’s been high since 2019, prices just kept a steady pace going up no matter what’s happening. The more it goes up the more I downsize looking at the possibility of another country.

The oil the US imports from Canadian. The US refines it. Then sells it back to Canada. How does a legitimate news agency not now that. Autos are the only thing that may hurt US.

We need to start making our own stuff in relying on ourselves not other countries yes by and help and provide, but rely on ourselves just like we do every day as people

A lot of people thought that the ones paying for the tariff were the people selling the product(s) to the US.

I’m trusting the process. We have nothing left to lose after what the last admin has done. I would like to see the gov get out the lending industry also

If the importers want to sell their products. They will lower their prices. Because the products that the prices go too high. Won’t be bought. THEIR ARE ALTERNATIVES

If goods from other countries cost that much more, I will gladly find another option for less money. Long-term plan long-term plan.

If the produce of domestic can be bought there as cheap as that of foreign industry, the regulation is evidently useless.
If it cannot, it must be generally hurtful.

We are going to have to trust the process. This man knows how to run empires and I trust that in the long term this is the best move. At least there is transparency.

it's true that US importer pays the tariffs and that will add that to the cost of product BUT big customers like Walmart can put pressure in the chain of supply to keep prices the same.
