I don’t understand, if the agency was created from a law…how can we just freeze it? Would it not need to be either stripped of funding via a CR or repealed in Congress?

What’s crazy i never heard anything from the CFPB in my personal life. Last month a random $500 check arrived in the mail from them taking action against a company I paid years ago.

People don’t realize you have the OCC, FRB, FDIC and other agencies that do the same exact thing. The CFPB isn’t needed as is pure overlap.
