No I genuinely always thought the same and I did it! I think everyone should do it once, if u dislike it you can have fun wigs and it WILL grow! And u can try diff fun hair lengths once too lol

This is how I’ve felt since like 2020-2021 but like.. IDKKKK so I just cut it into a pixie like cut recently and I love it. That with ur pink hair would be SOOOO cute!!
