My only issue is that Im going to Anthrocon 2025 (my first con ever) but I have pots syndrome and overheat VERY easily so I know I won’t be able to wear a hoodie or anything that rlly covers skin

it is so hot wearing just a partial suit anyways. it should not be a big deal and especially for those with disabilities that may cause problems with the heat. i have pots and i get hives in the heat which makes it impossible to wear a full one not even including how expensive it is! you are sharing the magic if you're there and happy so that's all that should matter!

I’m thinking of this from the perspective of affordability and beginners. I haven’t made a fursuit and don’t own one, but I’d like to DIY a partial b/c that’s most likely what I can afford, rn. I know I can wear long sleeves, pants, and gloves but if it’s laundry day and or it’s hot I think I might need to poodle 😭I don’t own a lot of clothes and maybe I have 4 long sleeves.

I’ve heard a lot of people do this because full suits are so expensive? I’m not in the community so I just don’t know but from what I’ve heard they’re very expensive

I love the one "old school" suiter talking about how it was frowned upon...like where I went to conventions in the early 00s and most of them were late spring and early summer 100°f was too hot for most full suits so many poodled to survive and have fun. same with the raves it was too dangerous to have a full suit, both for the suit and people around you! I often went in my head paws tail and yoga shorts and a tank top my cowl could tuck into🤷♀️
