This festival, celebrated on the day of Tachlaga Ashtami of Nepal Sambat, is considered a sad festival rather than a joyous one. To protect the residents of Bhaktapur from the sorrow and crisis that may come, the Nava Durga Bhavani Ashta Matri is surrounded by the Gana of the eight mothers from all sides. On the day when the first Gathemang is performed inside this Nava Durga Bhavani, Shri Mahadev is created. Then on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi (Chatha:), Lord Ganesha is created, and from Ghatasthapana onwards, Brahmani, Maheshwari, Kaumari, Bhadrakali, Barahi, Indrani, Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, Simha, Dumha, Shweta Bhairav and Bhairav are created sequentially. Since the time of Dashain, Navadurga Bhavani protects the people of the country from various diseases, crises, misfortunes, etc. As every creation ends, there is a tradition of saying

Now that Navadurga Bhavani is no more, it is a tradition that all the people of Bhaktapur come to worship Navadurga before Bhalbhal Ashtami. This continues for about a month. They perform puja from every house and eat a sammebaji or feast in this premises. On the day of Bhalva Ashtami, they dance the last dance in the Navadurga premises and leave the Devghar. After dancing outside the Devghar and going around the city, when they try to enter the house again, the main door is closed. In this way, after the main door of their house is closed, they dance and dance in that place. This scene is very emotional. It makes the eyes of some viewers teary. Feeling emotional, they go to the Navadurga Bhavani Brahmani Peeth and burn all the Mukundos here. Since there is no Navadurga from this day, there is also a custom of tying a thread (Pasuka) with the power of Navadurga on their hands. This Pasuka is accepted as the Panchasutra. When Brahmani goes to bathe on the day of Vijaya Dashami, she takes off this thread tied in her hand and throws it in the river.
