fix rental prices - 1 reduces the appetite of greedy ppl who want to be landlords just for money and therefore would sell up instead 2 allows ppl an longer term option to rent & save.

When prices do come down due to say a recession people are going to be left with huge mortgages they won't be able to pay due to job losses and pay cuts happened before.

there is a huge wage gap in Ireland and you can not compete with someone whose annual wage is €100,000 and above,and apparently there are so many of those on IT sector at the moment.

my daughter and her partner movedto belfast lovely house less than half the price of dublin. they would have loved to be in dublin but it was not possible

I'm 43 and in government agency job and I will never be able to afford a house in this country. The issue that will face the state in the future is going to be a high amount of people who are in private rental now will not be able to afford private rental when we retire. I'm now planning to leave ireland when I retire because I won't be able to afford to live here. 😢

the rent of two bedrooms apartment at ringsend where google and facebook office are, were €2000 a month ten years ago. how could they afford it? Because the company pays €2000 a month rent allowance.

After the property crash laws were brought in to STOP agents doing this. it's part of their PSRA licence not to under price to start bidding wars when ppl r invested in the possibility. Report to PSRA
