@attyforfederalemployees: Big hearing on the “Fork in the Road” deferred resignation program is coming! The unions argue they have standing; the government says otherwise. Will the judge keep the temporary block in place—or say it goes to a different forum? Stay tuned for Monday’s showdown and follow for more federal employment updates! I appreciate you stating the facts and not just your opinion, thank you!

My org and “HR” put out guidance last night that describes the stay as an “extended deadline”. For BTW, supervisors, not covered by a bargaining agreement, must return to work on Monday, workforce returns on 24 Feb. for the hiring freeze, my org understands that DOD is exempt. Crossing my fingers on that because I have 4 vacancies now. I wonder if we will be able to backfill these vacancies for those taking the deferred resignation.

What are the chances of being laid off if you don’t resign?

It’s the “subject to appropriations” that bothers me. If theres a shutdown, you get furloughed and you don’t get paid. Uou will get back pay eventually

Sean, if an employee's offer letter in 2019 was to work somewhere other than where the org is located and has worked there until now can they force the employee to now relocate or lose their job

Could you lose your right to retire (currently eligible) if you resign and the contract is rescinded? Assuming Court rules for OPM. Is WCS retiring earlier than planned?
