My college did the round tables in some rooms but didnt change anything about the classes, so in the end everyone hated them because half the seats would have their backs to the teacher and had to twist to see the board

It irked me so so much as a child when people wouldn’t create proper equally groups when talking and 1 or 2 kids would be left out accidentally. Like it wasn’t hard to fix it but I knew it was weird

Being autistic, I can notice these kinds of social ques but not the regular ones. It’s all the more isolating

As a future teacher, I always wondered, how to work with kids in the last rows of the class, and which table placement is most effective.

That's why King Arthur's table was a round table, to encourage everyone to have equal voice in the discussion. 💕

hmmm ok this makes sense! I've noticed inconsistent results with my group socialization; sometimes things seem to follow naturally and other times people are annoyed when I interject

Interesting ‘center of mass’ metaphor. This appears true when you simply look at euclidian space, but it also appears on the layers of volume, influence, interest etc.

yeah, I noticed something is weird when me and my friends sit down in class, and the tone and center of the conversation changes depending on position
