Tinfoil Crown :
I’m 64 and not yet found a way to manage RSD. It feels easier just to isolate from others

Finding out about RSD has been like seeing a blurry picture come into focus. Knowledge is indeed power.

is RSD why I never feel physically or emotionally safe when in the presence of another human?

I had this until this last year where I had to fight for my safety but not with my abusers- I've had Noone to interefere with healthy ending to this situation. It's about to be in the courts. I'll win

Oh my god, this is one of my main things. I only became aware of RSD when I was diagnosed as autistic. I’m currently waiting for my ADHD diagnosis.

Totally understand this. I've always strived to find acceptance, but it was driven by RSD, exactly 1 year ago, I had so much conflict in understanding my ADHD... see reply

High sensitivity + low self worth = RSD, this is the CPTSD aspect of ADHD no one talks about

Yes the first time you are rejected it’s so traumatising you never let anyone that close every again. You will try once in a while but always with the expectation that rejection will follow.
