It was a more Melbourne accent for sure - coming from someone who was born and raised in the greater Brisbane area. Belle was born here but I think in terms of accents, maybe Belle changed it when she moved to Melbourne and that's what she based it off? Melbourne people have a very different way of speaking which the actress did VERY well. I'm just correcting the "Australian" accent, it's not a national accent. It's pretty localised.

She’s exceptional. I’d say 98% totally accurate and only the odd softer almost British sounding syllables. One of the best Aussie accents I’ve ever heard.
