@jlatt.fit: The detailed breakdown ⬇️ To start off, there are so many different types of shoe brands that are great for all types of runs, but I can only recommend ones that I have tried / am using currently! Firstly, The Daily Trainer. These are super important and a good chunk of your running will be done in these. In simple terms, these would be the shoes you would wear when running at medium speed. Not too fast, not too slow. Most miles in these shoes would be easy / tempo pace. The shoes I currently use for these runs are the Brooks Glycerine Max which I absolutely love. Good balance of cushion and responsiveness. Secondly, the Carbon Plated Shoes. These are for speed sessions and racing. It’s important not to over train in carbon plated running shoes as they can be quite harsh on your feet / joints. The shoe I use currently is the On Cloudboom Strike. Finally, your recovery shoe. These are excellent for your easy miles and recovery runs. You want a stable and cushioned shoe for these runs so that your joints and muscles can recover from the faster / harder runs you have been doing recently. The priority here is cushion, comfort, and stability. I currently use the brooks Glycerine 22 GTS. These are the staples!
