I remember as a young adult my brother and I said i love you dad, he asked if we were high. My dad didn't know how to respond bc he was never shown love from his father. We were changed forever 🙏🏾

This is GenX parenting at it's finest, I don't think I ever told my dad I loved him and can't remember it being said to me. Also I could not bring myself to walk up to his casket.
