I already own one of a different brand, but it helps a LOT with diamond painting, especially if you are in a dimly lit room working on a dark canvas

my grampa made me a lightbox as a kid with a lightbulb, wood, and a plastic bit so i could make flipbooks, it looked SO janky but was very memorable<3

My grandpa has one the size of a desk, and he just uses it for everything. Hes retired from working the post office and printing newspapers, but its pretty cool to look at.

I’m high school I would use a flat plastic container and put my phone flashlight under it and turn off all the lights😂 worked like a charm until college and I didn’t have big containers anymore

i used to tape blank paper over coloring pages on our windows faceing the sun. my parents got so sick of it they bought me one and I used it all the time. after awhile I learned how to draw cuz of it

Surprised you didn't mention traditional animation! Light boxes are essential for drawing in-betweens, & for referencing paths/previous positions for keyframes

They’re great for embroidery too! I use my iPad or phone if I’m a pinch, but if you have a printed pattern and wanna transfer it to the fabric, it’s super easy!
