as he said, it was a misdemeanor should’ve been a fine. Also, I would like to know what the exact law was for the distance or did they just make that up as well as did they need a search warrant to go onto the property, an arrest warrant may or may not be needed. I believe that if he would’ve claimed his fifth amendment rights, then they would be liable personally.
