Love the realism of you both. They make sheets that protect the bed and still feel soft. They are waterproof. Gosh everything is so expensive. I definitely understand just getting new.

When my mom got sick and was peeing the bed I went through lots of mattress protectors. She peed right though them. I found getting one of the plastic covers covered with a regular protector worked.

sometimes when you buy new sheets they have a horrible smell. But in an emergency, I'd just deal with it or put something over the pillowcase

I use absorb pads under me I get from medical supplies every month just incase I have accident.and I wake up every 4 hrs to cath its exhausting bt I gotta do it . 🙏

I usually do a mattress protector sheet another mattress protector then sheet again so if something happens especially late or middle or the night I just take the first layer off and go back to bed
