you can have a longer cuff for more wrist support but if you don't have the proper padding then if you go for a Dutch block you're not protected so it defeats the purpose

Prefer bgl3s but bgl4s would be good for clinch as you can open your hand more as it has a strip instead of webbing attached to the thumb BUT I feel they come up big due to less padding. I like to wear 12s BUT they fit me like 14s and I can slide my hands out even with wraps I wouldn’t want to use Velcro for clinching so defo I’d defo go for bg14s. A lot of bgl3s are coming with the thumb strip now so not sure if they’re being phased out or not
