@heroiisa: Disclaimer: These ratings are based on MY experiences as a budget traveler/backpacker and I still loved each country and think they are all worth visiting :) 📍Thailand: 9.5/10 + one of my favorite countries + so much variety: islands, cities, culture, history… + amazing and affordable food + so much to do you could easily spend months here + easy to get around + many backpackers and great hostels - Transportation is relatively expensive 📍Albania: 9/10 + beautiful beaches + lots of variety: beaches in the south and mountains in the north + very affordable in shoulder season (spring and fall) - Prices get way higher in summer - Popular beach towns get very busy in summer - The bus system can be difficult for travelers to understand 📍Laos: 8/10 + VERY affordable food and accommodation + amazing places to visit in nature (lagoons, waterfalls, mountains) + less touristy than many other countries but still has a backpacking scene + very unique - Not the easiest to get around and get to - Air quality gets very bad every burning season - Cities don’t have that much to do 📍North Macedonia: 8.5/10 + the most affordable country I’ve visited in Europe + Skopje is a very unique city + Matka Canyon is one of the most underrated nature destinations in Europe - Relatively small and doesn’t have as many places to visit as some other countries - No coastline - Not the easiest to get to 📍Poland: 8.5/10 + So many interesting cities to visit with lots to do + Lots of important cultural and historical sights to visit + Good and pretty affordable food + Not a huge rise in prices in summer + Relatively easy to get around by either train or bus - So big that transportation between cities can take a while - Transportation is not the cheapest - Many cities don’t have a lot of hostel options or a big backpacking scene #budgettravel #budgettraveltips #budgettraveler #traveltips
