@huntsworkshop: Milwaukee tools seem to be everyone’s favorite, but be honest with me. Does anyone else have this problem with them? #milwaukee #milwaukeetools #toolsofthetrade
They've started making then in Vietnam and China and the quality has gone down the drain.

My work buys us Milwaukee 1/2” impacts and I normally get 2-3 years out of them. And I put them through hell. Working in rain mud snow anything you can think of

The tools have a 3 year warranty. Find a service center and you’re good.

You have the trigger locked use the black button that you use to change the direction the tool is going then it will work

The Milwaukee soldering irons have a diode inside, very easy to replace, fixes them immediately

Tool brands are just the same as truck brands. You find whatever one you like and whichever one works for you. I’ve had my same Milwaukee tools for five years. Never had a problem.

to be fair to the soldering iron, 95% chance it's a thermal fuse. happens if you leave em on a while or in the sun & on. it's like 8$ on ebay. I don't get why most techs won't repair their tools.

This is exactly why I switched back to DeWalt this year. Love the powerstack and powerpack batteries and the tools are great.
