I think in Europe "meat by product" can include horns, hoofs, hair, blood etc? At least, that what i heard from vets here. So, especially without labelling which animal is used, it's considered as bad

I always try to tell people this! It’s only “bad” if your pet has intolerances and needs specific proteins.

ugh i hate the crappy ingredients and lack of transparency in more expensive foods. my one cats prescription diet’s ingredients are so sketchy, yet it costs $200 a month

And the 4D meat thing a lot of people bring up hasn’t been a thing since 2019, when it was banned. It was also stated that there were no reported cases of such ingredients being used often by brands
