Not legal advice but I was in your situation. When in survival mode 👀. I did not make that payment and did the deferment. It was taken care of. Not sure how things are now.

Just a heads-up, deferment will negativity effect your credit score ( which may be pulled for future employment/credit checks)

I hope you’ve considered applying for assistance programs as well. My pride stopped me for 3 months but I eventually did it and saving on food helped me so much while I was searching
